In his testimony, Brendan shares his struggle of life and living which many people have never experienced. The Holy Bible explains that when we make the decision to accept God through Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, genuinely ask him to forgive us of our sin and openly confess our sin before him then he will forgive us of our sin and bless us with the gift of receiving his Holy Spirit as our personal guide. This is referred to as ‘being born again’. A new life begins in us because God has blessed us with his love and with his forgiveness of our sins.
This image, taken on my favourite local beach before sunrise, reminds me of how God through his love for us is willing to forgive our sins and remember them no more. He has given us a new life just as this beach is given a new life each day at sunrise.
